I just discovered StumbleUpon.com.
Love IT. I felt out of the loop for not knowing about this site sooner, but I just checked and can’t find any of my friends on it, either, so I feel better.
StumbleUpon is a way to discover websites based on your own interests and preferences. It puts a little toolbar in your web browser like this:
To find a new site, you just click the StumbleUpon button and see what appears. Then you get to give it a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down”. For instance, I checked a few interests, like Capitalism, Christianity, and Geography, and the first site it gave me was biblemap.org–a site I already love, so I was immediately hooked.
I’ve looked at about 100 sites in the last 24 hours (I know, a little sad, but I love it), and only a handful were sites I’d seen before. Here are a few new discoveries, thanks to StumbleUpon:
dontclick.it
An experimental site that encourages the elimination of the mouse-click! Amazingly innovative!
ArtPad

In other news, a random woman at Linens ‘N Things said she loved my haircut! Woo hoo!
