Tonight is my…
…Anne of Green Gables party. Well, it’s not mine, but I’m invited, and I’m very excited about it. I’ve never seen the movie/read the books, and I feel like I’ve been missing out all these years!
I made cookies last night to take with me to the party. I don’t know what came over me…I got possessed with cookie baking. I made four different batches, and then kept going back and adding more ingredients. I can’t just stop with chocolate chips…I’ve got to add walnuts, and cinnamon, and nutmeg, and white chocolate chips, and molasses. Then I tried to make a raspberry glaze that wasn’t very good. But I put it on half of the cookies anyway because I wanted to see how it looked. I know–crazy! By the end of the evening, I had a huge mess and probably only a handful of cookies that actually taste good. But I arranged them nicely on a platter and I’m still taking them to the party. I’ll warn everyone first, though.
Sigh. Some day I will learn.
I’m also excited because it looks like my new t-shirt design will arrive today. I ordered this one and an “I Hate Spunk”/Tangofetish.com tote bag.
